Did an excellent job of finding answers to the to the "Existing" HVAC. Ken offered us a lot of opinions without trying to push us into buying anything that we didn't want.

I've found your staff very dependable, so there's never been a reason to contact anyone else.

Recently we had a problem with our 15 year old furnace. It stopped heating during a cold snap and the temperature in the house began dropping quickly. We called the company that installed the system and they came out. The technician installed a new igniter, but the furnace would not burn for more than 5 minutes without restarting. He then told me that the problem was a bad burner, that the cost would be $400-500 and that it could not be replaced until the next day. Over the past several years we had become increasingly unhappy with the service work this company had provided. As an engineer myself, the diagnosis we received didn't make a lot of sense, so I decided to contact someone else to double check. I was extremely glad that I did.
I called Reupert Heating and Air Conditioning to come out the next day and take a look. It was Mr. Rodney Reupert himself that came and shortly after looking the system over and asking me some questions, he assured me that the problem couldn't possibly be the burners. It was not however an easy one to identify the source of. I had explained to Mr. Reupert that since it was first installed the system had occasionally had problems where the furnace would start, run for a few minutes, shut back down and then restart. I had complained about this symptom to the company that put the furnace in (and the technician who was there the day before) but they were never able to identify the cause. Mr. Reupert began going through the system one part at a time eliminating each possible cause. After doing some tests and a couple of phone calls to the manufacturer he finally told me that he had identified the problem. A few hours later (after finding and getting the replacement part) the furnace was working like it was supposed to (but never really had).
I am extremely grateful to Mr. Reupert and Reupert Heating and Air Conditioning for their quick response to my call and for identifying the cause of the problem so quickly for two reasons. The first is that my wife is currently having severe health problems and is extremely sensitive to cold air. The second reason is that as an engineer, it was great to see a service technician who understands good troubleshooting methods and is determined to identify the root cause of the problem, not to put on a Band-Aid write out a bill and get out of the door. In my experience the quality and thoroughness of the service we received can not be surpassed. Reupert Heating and Air Conditioning will be the only company we call when we need quick and thorough repair or just routine maintenance of our furnace or air-conditioning in the future.
The references to my calling are a bit misleading but the basic facts are correct, I just didn't think that readers would understand what I meant if I said that I asked you at a CRHP meeting. Seriously, I am extremely grateful and mean ever word I said above. You are not only a great brother in Christ, but a good friend and one heck of a technician!
God bless,
Mike
